There’s a great project blog up at Oil Drum Tandoor. This is a site dedicated to making a tandoor oven for home use. Now there’s a project!
From the very initial dreams and plans, to prepping the oil drum, modeling the clay, coating it with a jaggery seasoning layer, and finally cooking in it!
This is an interesting site in that it is solely dedicated to the tandoor project. It’s a singularity that I find refreshing.
Finding another culinary use for clay excites me as I am in the process of sorting out my several 100lbs of clay from my art studio for the final move.
Yum.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to be able to have real tandoor cooking at home? Thanks for the link to this fun blog. Now if only I could find an oil drum….
Yeah and a not so dirty oil drum…
