How do you like your pie? Sweet, creamy, with crunchy bits? Savory, spicy and salty? Individual sized? Square?
I can never choose a favorite as the sweet and savory world both pull strongly!
Get ready to indulge as pi day is coming right up: March 14th!
Since pi is an irrational number, I dare you to follow in the irrational spirit and eat pie for breakfast! Heck, how about pie all day…

March 18th? I thought the Wikipedia article said the 14th…
Ahh crikey! Slip of the fingers…
thanks!

pi is approximately 3.14159… So it’s the 14th.
Hey, weren’t you married to a mathematician? I’d think that you’d get this one right *grin*
Thanks for reminding me though. May I suggest that we combine PI day and the Ides of March together into a 2 day bacchanalia and have a feast and then try to assassinate each other baked goods?
Man- y’all just won’t let a typo die!
Ooo- the pi of march with the ides of march…

How fitting–my daughter’s birthday is 3-14 (yup, this week) and she always, always wants pie (cherry) instead of a cake. Bravo for life’s little synchronicities!
You totally inspired me, McAuli. We are indeed having a Pi Day Pie Party this evening. So far we have people bringing vegetarian shepherd’s pie, veggie pot pie, blueberry pie, quiche, and pumpkin pie. Oh, and someone is bringing salad in a pie tin! lol
I will take any excuse to eat pie!
Excellent! I’ll look for a report on your blog.
