It’s Sugar High Friday #27 with David Lebovitz as round up host.
With the SHF theme of “Chocolate Brand” this recipe uses Ah!laska brand Baker’s Cocoa in the marshmallows, and Ghirardelli White Chocolate.
Amidst our delayed arrival from New Orleans I realized, I’ve been chocolate deprived. Distracted by oysters and cocktails, and having dessert for breakfast, left a large chocolate sized hole in my heart.
Chocolate swirl marshmallows sliced on edge provide a wonderful pattern to lay against softened white chocolate in this color inverted s’more… a finger licking shot of sticky sweetness with a flush of cocoa.
Zebra-striped Chocolate Swirl S’mores
Preheat your oven broiler.
Gently toast a graham cracker under the broiler. Pull it out from under the heat just before it starts to turn color.
Top with grated white chocolate (Ghirardelli White Chocolate, as it is amazingly all my super-hyped up grocery store will carry now).
Top with a slice of chocolate swirl marshmallow and place back under the broiler to toast.
Pull out from under heat when the marshmallow slightly changes color and allow to cool.
Enjoy!

Hmmm…I love s’mores. Thanks for adding to the delicious round-up!
Market of Choice is one of the places that I miss the most from when I was going to UO. Their wood oven baked chicken garlic pizza is to die for.
The larger one up on 30th is the one in the article that has recently undergone a major renovation. I have mixed feelings about it- the newness of the store has changed it into a gimmicky grocery store that doesn’t seem to be focused on actual groceries as much as it is focused on products and deli items. And we’ve had the hardest time finding organic produce, as nothing is grouped together!
More reason to stick to the UO one
Will have to try that pizza some lunch time soon!

Damn! Just damn!
The campfire become sophisticated with this smore!
In a word, yum.
Chocolate swirled smores sound delicious, but zebra stripped chocolate swirled smores? That’s too good to pass up!
I have to tell you that in addition to being in love with chocolate and its soul-mate peanut butter, I also enjoy a well-turned phrase. So imagine my giggly delight at finding your website! It was rather giggly, and there is much delight. I’ll never eat store-bought marshmallows again!
Thank you for inspiring recipe. I haven’t eat marshmallows before. My childrens used to grill them on wooden sticks. I’ll try to surprise them with new recipe.
Those are just gorgeous!
I love S’Mores. What a great variation!

Marshmallow Peeps have an amazing cult following, and it’s no wonder why: they are cute, abstract, colorful, ubiquitous, and sugary.
Thank you so much1 These S’mores are excellent now i love s’mores even more.
