		<description>wow, i&#039;ve always seen cacao nibs but never knew what you do with them. So what exactly do they taste like?

&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;em&gt;plain and on their own they taste:

- fruity, bitter, floral, with a tiny hint of chocolate like flavor.  Their flavor, particularly when roasted, can remind one of eating coffee beans.

Having the chocolate coating on the bits really alters their flavor.

I&#039;ve seen a number of recipes that toss them into cookies for crunch , or steep them in cream for flavour.
