Eco-Bags

Eco-BagsMy neighborhood grocery store carries many socially responsibile/ambitious items. My latest find to realize I’m fondly attached to are Eco-bags, unbleached 100% natural cotton draw-string bags. In particular I have a couple of their Produce & Grain bags floating around the kitchen. These bags are great for storing vegetables, and for use in draining items in the place of cheesecloth. Eco-bag’s website site says that you can grow sprouts in these too.

Even better- they get tossed in the washing machine and are as good as new.

I got my bags here reusablebags.com (which is where Alton Brown got his for stuffing the chicken) We LOVE ours. Use them for everthing from shopping, to storing, to carry the kids “treasures” :) Love them for draining that pesky frozen thawed spinach that pops up in recipes.

Thanks for the great blog! and always love your food posts on Craftster (how I first found you)
