[...] Holding a new tub of crunchy dehydrated strawberries, I was excited to see her balsamic vinegar truffle variation. A dish of strawberries drizzled with sweet thick balsamic vinegar is on my culinary to-taste list… what a fun flavor idea to roll into a chocolate truffle. [...]

I discovered these at a market in Loma Linda, Califonia that caters to the mostly-vegetarian Seventh Day Adventists. I was looking for good foods to use for backpacking. These not only are good as is, but reconstitute well. You can do all kinds of great foods with these without having the weight on your back.

that's a really good resource angle! I haven't played much with reconsituting these. I may go throw some in my oatmeal now :)

I don't know if you have a Trader Joe's near you, but I noticed today that they had their own brand of the Just Strawberries -- and they are much cheaper than the original. Hopefully they'll be putting out other fruits and such soon!

thanks for the heads up about that. We do have a TJ's nearby.

I found these at my local organic market and picked up some raspberries. They are super delicious, and you only need a few to satisfy a bit of a sweet tooth. Yum!

I agree. I'd like to try the cherries next. Heck, I'd like to try all of them.
