I picked up my first container of book darts this Christmas and tucked a bunch of them into my Secret Santa’s cookbook before mailing it out.
These are very useful in a kitchen/cooking context. When I first look through a cookbook, I mark recipes that resonate upon first reading with a dart. That way I can quickly turn to my first round contenders when looking for a recipe to make. Of course, after getting to know these first round recipes, you can take out your darts and reread the book to see what strikes your fancy the second time around.
Darts don’t mark up you pages- make no creases, and are archival. I like how they are noticeable, but don’t stick out like bookmarks, and won’t fall out.
